Murray Associates designed two new Philadelphia Heirloom Markets which have an urban focus, tailoring goods and services to its nearby neighborhoods.
The space is designed to be a streetscape. Each wall section is a different color to give the illusion of strolling by different buildings.
The original bookstore has been demolished and the new 7 story new residence hall has significantly reduced the number of freshmen who are “tripled” each fall, plus introduce additional support services to this side of campus. Murray’s was the Associate Architect for HKS Inc.
A new welcoming customer service area was designed to utilize space very differently.
Due to an increase of students living on the west side of the campus, multiple student services were needed to accommodate their needs.
Highmark entered the “retail delivery” marketplace: direct-to-customer and Murray Associates designed the Prototype Store.
The Bluetique gift shop was incorporated into the new Health Place, along with the renovated, well-equipped health and fitness centers.
The main food venue for the entire hospital was renovated in phases while it still functioned for the Medical Center.
The transformed dining facility now serves between 300 and 500 more customers each day.
