Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA
Dickinson College’s new Baseball Facility will increase their recruitment and overall quality of players. Murray Associates Architects, P. C. was selected for the initial study and the current project to transform Wentzel Hall, a pre-engineered metal multipurpose sports and storage facility, into a new training center. Flexible, multiple-use spaces and program adjacencies were critical design elements to maximize the footprint of the existing building.
The training area has (3) three batting cages and (3) three pitching mounds. The Sports Medicine Area has training tables, exercise bikes, ice bathes and a kitchenette. The new 1,000 gsf locker room is equipped with 39 lockers, a team meeting room, showers and rest rooms.
