Dickinson College’s new baseball & softball practice facility has already increased the Red Devils recruitment and overall quality of players.  Murray Associates Architects, P. C. completed the initial study and the transformation of Wentzel Hall, into a new 20,000 gsf training center. Flexible, multiple-use spaces and program adjacencies were critical design elements to maximize the footprint of the existing building.

The renovation introduced flexible, multi-use spaces and program adjacencies, incorporating three full batting cages, three pitching machines, two half-cages, and three full bullpen pitching mounds. The center also includes a sports medicine area, a kitchenette, and a 1,000-square-foot  of  multiple locker rooms equipped with lockers, a team meeting room, showers, and restrooms. The facility is located two miles west of the main campus at Dickinson Park, home to the varsity baseball, softball and men’s and women’s soccer teams.
