The Rose Lehrman Arts Center was the fourth building we constructed from the College’s Master Plan to support the first 3 Classroom buildings and the community.
The 30,000 sf Center is a two story brick and precast concrete building facing the main campus quadrangle. The auditorium/theater, is the primary feature providing intimate seating for 376 people symmetrically curved around a thrust stage. An arena-thrust workshop theater with flexible seating for 142 people extends the drama-dance theater capabilities of the College.
The art studios include: a large painting studio, illuminated by northern light; a craft studio; a ceramic studio with a separate kiln room with 3 kilns: a wood, metal and stone sculpture studio; and facilities for acetylene and arc welding, and power sawing.
There are 15 general classrooms, 2 seminar rooms, & 4 office suites. The music area includes classrooms, a large rehearsal studio suiting 125 people, 6 sound-proof practice rooms, 3 private teaching studios and a 24-seat piano lab.
