The Academy’s 4,600 gsf Science Suites were renovated and 5 new labs were incorporated due to teaching pedagogy changes. This project is a direct result of the implementation of the Master Plan our firm completed in 2010.
The Upper School consists of new Chemistry, Biology, and “Multipurpose” labs which are approximately 25% larger than the existing instructional spaces. Student desks are equipped with castors to promote quick “reconfiguring” of the learning environments.
The Middle School lab instruction areas were expanded and all the case work within the Middle School labs was repurposed from the existing Upper School lab spaces. New resin tops, integral sinks and utilities were incorporated into the newly expanded suites.
