June 2019 – The Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania’s (AICUP) Annual Member Meeting on Collaboration was held in Harrisburg on June 18-20th.  Murray Associates Architects, PC presented another one of their design projects to the Associations 89 Collegiate Members.  Harrisburg University’s President, Eric Darr and the University’s eSports Director, Chad Smeltz joined Benedict Dubbs, Principal of Murray Associates in discussing the University’s nationally recognized eSports Training Arena.

The presentation “eSports – Partnership, Collaboration & Economic Growth”  was the Keynote Presentation  for the entire conference.  The presentation highlighted (1) How and why Harrisburg University invested in eSports, (2) Partnerships with local businesses and governmental officials, (3) The collaborative and creative process of designing the Training Arena, (4) The HUE Festival and impacts to the Harrisburg downtown businesses and (5) Lessons Learned.
