January 12, 2021 – The new Jeannette PennDOT Driver License Center opened to the public in a site that was a previous discount retail store. The Center offers seven driver licensing stations, three photo stations and a large customer waiting area. REAL ID cards are offered that meets all federal security standards for over-the-counter same-day issuance.

All told, this project was constructed for less money than PennDOT allocated. Sustainable design was utilized to promote responsible environmental stewardship while saving taxpayers’ dollars. Some of these features include LED lighting, sensor controls, high-efficiency restroom faucets, controls on HVAC systems and expanded recycling options for customers and staff.

Murrays designed new COVID-19 staff safety guard systems for this facility that is now standard for all Centers across the Commonwealth. The new custom design allows customers to have full utilization of service point counter tops, while providing extended separation between them and the staff
