The foyer adjacent to McCormick Auditorium and the Hallway leading to the band room were renovated and a new hallway connecting to the music wing was constructed. These alterations will increase cohesiveness across the building and pull it together by developing points of interest through interior brick and ceiling treatments. Visitors will now have a destination as they enter the performing arts spaces that is fun and virtually everyone in the school will benefit from the additional spaces. This project is a result of the implementation of the Master Plan Murray Associates Architects completed in 2010 and is part of the phased Bold Ambition Campaign.
A new music suite was constructed in the footprint of the staff and faculty parking lot, behind the Middle School Science rooms. This new space elevates the already wonderful music curriculum by allowing the faculty to do new creative programs with the students.
The suite includes two large instruction rooms, four smaller practice rooms, and instrument storage. The music suite connects the newly constructed hallway, from the first phase of this project, and the School Library.
