This impressive facility is now 66,900 gsf and is the largest Honda PACT lab in the Nation. The College enjoys its ongoing relationship with Ford and Honda which provide vehicles every fall semester as lab equipment for instructional purposes.

Murray Associates added two labs, consisting of eighteen instructional bays, as well as a mezzanine for the storage of transmission and other heavy items and parts. Each of the bays is equipped with lift equipment, wall mounted IT banks, and laptops on carts to provide a contemporary electronic battery of diagnostic systems. Each bay also has a complete, overhead service of compressed air with a dedicated exhaust system on elevated reels.

The students have multiple instructional spaces such the multiple different Garage Labs, and the classrooms. One of our primary design considerations was the safety of all staff and students, which is reinforced by the open, spacious sight-lines and the great acoustics. The openness also enhances the quality of the instruction space by allowing staff and students to congregate without the spatial restrictions one would ordinarily experience around such large pieces of equipment in an instructional setting. The finishes in the hallways were durable, yet aesthetically pleasing with large lockers for all of the student’s equipment.
