November 19, 2020 – The Dauphin County Commissioner’s proclaimed November 19, 2020 “The Bridge Day”! Albeit a very cold November morning, our hearts were warmed with joy for this groundbreaking event. Murray Associates Architects, P. C. has been hard at work, partnering with The Bridge to bring their Eco-Village to life since April.

Murray’s Principal, Benedict Dubbs, AIA RA, LEED AP is now the Bridge’s Senior Vice President of Architecture. His firm focuses on sustainable design solutions that promotes environmental conservation and reduces the global carbon footprint. This is why he is so excited to partner and collaborate with The Bridge, as the McDevitt site will be The Bridge Headquarters and the first “eco-village” site in 10 cities around the country.

Now that ground has been ceremonially broken, interior renovations are expected begin this winter with hopes of actual construction can begin in the spring and the entire project to be complete by the summer of 2022. The building will retain much of its current look, but a third floor will be added as part of the project, along with many renovations for living space, urban agriculture, learning spaces and more.  #LetsBuild!  For more information about the Bridge, please go to https://www.thebridgeecovillage.com/
