Harrisburg Area Community College, Bruce E. Cooper Student Center, featured in educational interiors showcase honoring the nation’s most outstanding learning environments
September 30, 2019 – Murray Associates Architects, P.C. announces that HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College’s Bruce E. Cooper Student Center located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has been selected for publication in lnforma’s American School & University® 2019 Educational Interiors Showcase. It is featured in the August 2019 edition of the magazine and online at www.SchoolDesigns.com, an annual competition honoring excellence in educational interiors and facility planning, the Educational Interiors Showcase spotlights today’s most effective learning environments.
The renovation economically enlarges the center, modernizes the building and its technology while combines multiple student services previously scattered campus wide. Murray Associates Architects designed the original building in 1968. The technology focused Student Center is now an energetic basecamp for the community college, nurturing serendipitous interactions between students, faculty, staff and visitors. A new Welcome Center, updated food venues, multiple student services, small group spaces, club offices and classrooms are dedicated to cultivating integration and overall student success.
