February 22, 2019 – Benedict Dubbs, Principal of Murray Associates Architects, P. C. participated in the Lycoming Engines Metal Trades Center Roundtable at Penn College of Technology, affiliated with Pennsylvania State University.
during National Engineers Week. Organized by the School of Construction & Design Technologies and its Civil Engineering and Surveying Department, the event connected a standing-room-only crowd.
The discussion centered around the second 30,152 gsf addition to the Lycoming Engines Metal Trades Center project, that is currently under construction. The expansion project provides spaces for a New Tool Room/Material Storage, Automation Area, Computer Labs, Fabrication Shop Area, Non-Destructive Test Labs, Clean Room, Classrooms, Welding Labs, Cylinder Storage and a loading dock. This and the first 47,920 gsf expansion has been designed under the leadership of Benedict.
According to the College, this facility will become the largest interior welding instructional facility in the U.S.
