Township Building

Completed in 2000, the Monroe Township Municipal Facility project in Cumberland County, PA consists of three main components.

Addition to the existing Administration Building.

Murray Associates designed a 3,900 square foot addition which serves to create a new and inviting entrance to the building and to provide a comfortable vestibule and waiting area and new space to accommodate various municipal and public meetings.  The new meeting space features a large functional room with raised platform, multimedia, and sound technology, along with new toilet rooms and a kitchenette.

Renovation of the existing Administration Building

Renovation of the existing 9,500 square foot administration building involved the creation of new office suites for the township, authority, and public safety functions.
New Maintenance Building

This new maintenance facility serves the entire 26.5 square miles of Monroe Township.  The 9,000 square foot steel frame structure houses four standard service bays and one “wet” bay.  Each bay is supplied with water, compressed air, data outlets, and specialized lighting.  The building includes a staff lunchroom, tolet rooms with lockers and showers, and a dedicated tool storage room.  A 1,200 square foot mezzanine, equipped with a crane rail and hoists, houses the sign making equipment and overflow storage.  A masonry enclosed courtyard provides a secure location for the emergency generator for the complex and its fuel storage.
